The installation or operation of any stand-alone, unattended server-side process (daemons) on El Paso Hosting servers is forbidden, except by special arrangement. This specifically includes IRC bots, clients, and other IRC-related processes. Use of such a process to accept network connections, for any purpose whatsoever, is expressly forbidden. Violation of this policy will result in immediate account termination without warning.

Other Information

• To protect the CPU and memory resources available on each server.
• To protect and enhance system security by not allowing unapproved third-party programs to accept connections from the outside world.
• To allow us to be aware of any such programs, by requiring that special arrangements be made.
